Embedding (Buried Suture Method ) is a method came from the idea to create double eyelid by embedding the suture inside eyelid, and is quite popular because it create especially natural look with fast recovery But, since it is easy to be unraveled, some doctors consider it bothersome with the possibility to have re-operation, so they recommend the incision from the beginning to the patient, but actually embedding is the most popular surgical procedure currently as substantially good methods of it had been newly developed.
The operating time is about 20 to 30 minutes in general, shorter than other procedures.
Buried Suture Methods have quite a variety of types as well; Method to use beads, Sato style single stitch method, Single Knot Consecutive Buried Suture Method , Simple Pinching, Multi-Knot Method and etc. These different methods just have subtle differences like degree of swelling or unraveling rate but in principle, they are all similar.
However, Double Embedding has improved the biggest disadvantage of the Buried Suture Method to unravel easily, or being weakened, by completing the early adhesion which was difficult to accomplish by the basic Buried Suture Method
Partial incision
The double eyelid plastic surgery as the surgery undertaken by the most people has various methods with all different forms of titles. For doctor, the incision is the most basic surgical procedure, but from the view point as a specialized person who performs the eye plastic surgery, it is one of the most difficult operation.
